“Your calm demeanour meant that we looked to you at all times for support. You made the unbearable bearable ”
Loraine, Bath – March 2017
I believe tears, as well as humour, go hand in hand to help us through grief. Whether you are arranging a Funeral, Memorial, a Scattering of Ashes or a Ceremony for your beloved pet, my role, as your Celebrant, is to help you create a ceremony that reflects the life, beliefs and character of the deceased.
It can be difficult to make decisions in times of extreme emotion but I would like to assure you that I will help you find the most fitting readings, appropriate poems and music, including any hymns and prayers too, if you wish.
I am also happy to write the eulogy and deliver the whole ceremony if you would like me to. Equally, I am relaxed about taking more of a back seat whilst others share their own tributes and readings.
If you would like to include special symbolic acts - such as a balloon release or the giving of packets of seeds to be sewn in memory of the deceased – we can work out the best way to incorporate them. I always work closely with the Funeral Director and together we ensure that each ceremony takes place with the care and respect it deserves.
If you would like to talk please give me a ring or email me if you prefer.

“Thank you so much for doing such a splendid job on Monday, it was very reassuring to have you there guiding us through the whole process. There was just the right amount of gravitas but there was also warmth with it. I know we were only a small number of people but they all said how well you had conducted the service for us. Also, thank you for the envelope with the details of the service that was a lovely touch.”
Margaret, Bath - February 2017
